Score is tied, seven seconds left. Money inbounds the ball and gets it to shooter on the right side of court five feet inside the center line. Jason and Dunner are both up on the shooter, dude fakes up, steps around, and launches it. Both Jason and Dunner get a piece of the ball and avoid fouling. It spins up, hits glass, and rattles in. Money bench goes nuts as we stare in disbelief.
With 1.5 seconds left, we go for long pass that gets picked off and we lose by three. This was way worse than Navi's heave three seasons ago in John's face. I mean, Jay and Andy had the dude sealed. Ouch.
With Carrie out with flu and the rest of our long jumpers not falling, Craig kept us in the game with an assortment of drives, put-backs, and steals in the open court. Unlike past dust-ups, this was a clean game and fun to play.
Thanks to Amanda for bringing the chocolate cake to celebrate my 36th. It definitely helped take the sting off losing to Money yet again.
