Game 7 in November?

Hot Rod and J,

Missed a good 4-4 run last night at the Squad Room. Traffic wasn't bad in Vancouver at all, no problems getting around. However, I had to put this out to give Rence something to think about today.

We ran a wide-open, sweet shooting, best of 7 series. T on one side, me and Dr Nige on the other, and the rest of the PRC old skoolers split up evenly.

- T's squad was on fire early, juking and driving into the lane at will. T didn't have his long game going, but he was digging deep into his trunk of junk to abuse his counterpart repeatedly. Someone call Zenith 911.

- Looked like it was going to be a short night, as they ran off to a 3-0. I was hitting pull-ups going both ways (finally, the achilles is up to 95%) but nobody else could hit a shot.

- Then the tide starting going out. Two old skoolers made shots, and Dr. Nige put on a clinic in the post. Drop step good, back seal lob good, tough putback good. Call it 3-3 and we are going to game 7.

- T goes up early by four but can't put it away as legs get tired. We claw back to 18-18, but shot goes clang. We pick up board, I dribble down center, and flick it to creaky Old Skooler way wide on right wing. I turn my back to set weak side screen, shout goes out. Dude launched it
from NBA land, and I don't even hear it as it drops pure net.

Game, set, and match.

V

    Vince:

We must mention the highly controversial offensive foul by Dr Nige that was inexplicably ignored by Jake Bavetta, and in a cruel twist of fate was called a blocking foul instead.

The was the TSN turning point - and with the momentum and calls not going our way....fate took a turn for the worse.

You guys played hard and well - and were worthy (with a bad call) of a victory.

PS - For you hoop junkies out there (that have digital cable) check out channel 148 (you will wet your pants 24/7).

Damn! And I was watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith instead! I'll be there next week with my headband.

    Good work Vince.
