Check with Tex Winter, it's all about triangulation. Does Kobe really fit? Read The Last Season, and you tell me whether he is coachable. Lakers already proved early in the season they can live without Kobe.
I'll take Billups over Smush any day, he can hit big shots and is proven in the clutch. Prince is Pippen, a total stopper and a capable scorer. I can see both fitting nicely in the triangle.

That's like trading Scarlett Johansson for an old penthouse and a tube of vaseline.
Billups is overated and Prince looks like he should be touring in a freak show. The Pistons were Big Bens team - now they are nothing.
